Make time to do something you enjoy. It is okay to take some time to do something you enjoy while not allowing yourself to be interrupted by others.
Date yourself. It’s okay to spend quality time with yourself and make plans to eat at your favorite restaurant or go to a movie by yourself.
Positive self-communication. Communicate with yourself in kind and positive ways to boost self-esteem levels.
Positive self-talk is a must. Retain negative thoughts by replacing criticism and comparison with self-acceptance and appreciation.
Practice good self-care. Set boundaries for yourself when it comes to people and living a healthier life.
Few things you can try TODAY!
Turn off your cell phone or at least put it on Do Not Disturb for the time you want to set aside for yourself.
Tell your family or partner ahead of time that you have scheduled some “ME Time” for yourself scheduled and ask that they respect and honor this moment by contacting you when you are finished.
Do not be so hard on yourself. Forgive yourself and remind yourself that no one is perfect, we all make mistakes.
