Hello Fall

Hello Fall,

Fall, Fall, Fall with trees that change the color of its leaves. Greeting with a day possibly filled by the sun's warmth and evenings that accompany a cool breeze. In the midwest the weather is so unpredictable but there is one thing we do know, that is a time for change. The sun sets earlier leaving us with shorter days of daylight. For some, seasonal depression kicks in. Holiday’s fast approach back to back leaves some filled with joy and others reliving moments of grief. How to cope with all the things that show up as triggers in the Fall.

A few things that can help with this change are as followed:

  • Make time to bath in some vitamin D while the natural light is available

  • Hydration is still important in any season

  • Remember to allow yourself to feel all of the emotions you want but let them go immediately after

  • Take walks and wake up your body up in the crisp air

  • Explore wearing layers in your wardrobe

Fall is the perfect time to get outdoors and witness the change in seasons. Fall can be a time to embrace traditions of warm drinks, sitting by a warm fire, wrapping up in the coziest blanket and relaxing with a good book or a good movie. How you choose to embrace Fall can make a difference in how you cope with it at the moment.
